Churches, Holy Warriors, and Leaderboards

Crimson Engine Devlog #1: Churches, Holy Warriors, and Leaderboards (Finally!)

Hello everyone! Today we’ve got a special devlog for Crimson Engine. Today marks the release of Version 0.1.0. Here is how our subject matter expert describes the update:

"The churches... they mock me. Their holy warriors, their candles, their prayers... the sun creeps in when I am near. It is... unacceptable. But now... now I can burn them! The fire consumes them, and their warriors scatter like rats. yesss..."

That said, the leaderboard took way longer than expected. Leaderboard sounds easy, right? Wrong. It’s not just about slapping some scores together; there’s backend stuff, devops, making sure the damn servers don't catch fire when you burn a church. Good thing we didn’t try this during the game jam. It would’ve been a disaster. But now players can see who’s really the top blood-farmer out there.

So, to sum it all up — burnable churches, holy warriors, and the infamous leaderboard. Big changes. And in the future there will be more blood. Always more blood.

The machine must feed. The fog must grow.
